Meet Font Fusion AI

I Made the Font Picker of My Dreams with AI in Under 5 Minutes

I finally made an app I’ve wanted for years.

It’s called Font Fusion AI, and it does exactly what it sounds like: Upload an image, and it suggests five matching font pairs from Google Fonts. Simple. Smart. Instant vibe check.

And the best part?
I built it in under 5 minutes using Google AI Studio—so I’m officially claiming the title of vibe coder. 😎

Why I Wanted This

If you’ve ever pulled an inspo image for a design and then gone hunting for “fonts that look like this,” you know the pain.
There are some great font pairing tools out there, sure—but none that just look at the image and tell you what fits.

I wanted something that could shortcut the whole mood-matching process. Something visual, intuitive, and fast. Now I have it.

How It Works

The app uses Google’s Gemini model under the hood. It takes the uploaded image, analyzes its style and vibe, and then suggests five font pairings—header + body—for you to try.

The fonts all come from Google Fonts, so they’re easy to use in almost any project.

Want playful and modern? It’ll pick up on that.
Muted and minimal? That too.

How I Built It

No coding. No special access. Just Google AI Studio.
I opened it, gave it a few clear prompts, and watched it generate the UI and logic on its own. I made a few tweaks to how the font results are displayed, and that was it.

If you’re even remotely curious about building your own AI tools, this is a low-stakes, high-fun place to start.

Want to Try It?

You can! Just one thing:

📌 U-M folks (hello, my people): You’ll need to use a personal Gmail account to access it. Your @umich.edu Google login won’t work with AI Studio apps yet. Annoying, I know.
